ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Writes and edits high-impact internal and external content (35%)
Develops original content for internal news articles, intranet and extranet platforms, newsletters, talking points, presentations, blog posts, press releases, and technical med/sci materials—often under tight deadlines.
Supports omni-channel internal communications strategy (15%)
Collaborates with internal communications leadership to execute enterprise-wide strategies that inform and engage team members and volunteer leaders across multiple platforms.
Customizes content for multiple channels and audiences (15%)
Tailors messaging for various delivery platforms and internal audiences, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with ACS’s broader communications goals.
Collaborates with internal and external partners (15%)
Works closely with business partners and Communications colleagues to develop and finalize content that supports both internal and external messaging priorities.
Contributes to live event communications (10%)
Assists in the planning and execution of internal events such as town halls, including writing scripts, talking points, and supporting materials.
Drives employee engagement through storytelling (5%)
Identifies and develops creative approaches to increase employee connection to ACS’s mission and values through internal news and storytelling.
Serves as a core member of the Internal Communications team (5%)
Participates in team planning, content reviews, and cross-functional initiatives that support the goals of the Communications department.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Minimal travel is currently required for this role.
Occasional travel may be necessary for on-site event support or content capture and to support enterprise-wide communications initiatives.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Work is typically performed in a home office environment.
Must be available to respond to urgent communication needs outside of standard business hours, including evenings and weekends, as necessary.
The starting rate is $71,000 to $91,000 annual. The final candidate's relevant experience/skills will be considered before an offer is extended. Actual starting pay will vary based on non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.
