You are passionate about crossword puzzles: you've been doing them for years, you know what distinguishes a good clue from a lazy one, and every day you treat yourself to a small puzzle, just for the pleasure of it. You are responsible for our crossword puzzles , published in the press, and you work in tandem with our dedicated crossword puzzle specialist .

Tasks

We offer you some definitions; it's up to you to examine them carefully:

• Check each proposed definition : hunt down errors, misinterpretations, ambiguities, and judge whether the subtlety is at the right level, neither too flat nor too obscure.
• Rewrite those that lack accuracy or flavor, and write your own definitions when necessary, for each level (easy, medium, difficult).
• Mastering the constraints of the format: space in the box, common abbreviations, short words of 2-3 letters.
• Validate each grid (spelling, accuracy, uniqueness of the answer, homogeneous level) on our dedicated web interface.
• Work with your partner to create a style guide that is common to both formats.

Required skills

Profile

• Student in literature (modern, classical, language sciences…), able to obtain an internship agreement.
• Passionate about crossword puzzles : regular and long-standing practice, you know the classics of the genre and their traps.
• Impeccable spelling, rich vocabulary, taste for wordplay and double meanings.
• Autonomy and rigor in remote work.

A cover letter that tells us your story with crossword puzzles : how long you've been playing, where, what you enjoy about them, and the clues that have stood out for you. Include 5 to 10 original clues. Applications without a cover letter will not be considered.
