Summary:
The Podcast Researcher & Scriptwriter will serve The Daily Grace Co. by developing Scripture-rooted research, outlines, and episode scripts that align with the podcast’s mission: to teach every person the beauty of Jesus and the truth of Scripture. This role supports the podcast host and marketing team by turning theological depth and cultural awareness into winsome, well-structured episodes. The position also assists with administrative and scheduling tasks to ensure the podcast runs smoothly on a weekly cadence.


Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Biblical Studies, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of professional experience in research, communications, writing, or editorial (publishing or media experience preferred).
  • Strong biblical literacy and ability to apply Scripture faithfully to contemporary and cultural topics. Basic understanding of a covenantal hermeneutic. 
  • Demonstrated skill in writing conversational outlines, episode scripts, and show notes.
  • Proven research and fact-checking abilities; skilled at synthesizing sources into cohesive summaries.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet weekly deadlines.
  • Strong written communication and editing skills; able to write with both clarity and warmth.
  • Understand how AI integrates into your position.
  • Alignment with The Daily Grace Co.’s mission, doctrinal statement, and brand identity.


Job Responsibilities:

  1. Research & Content Development
    1. Conduct biblical and theological research for upcoming episodes, compiling Scripture passages, cross-references, and trusted commentary insights.
    2. Analyze cultural and life topics through a balanced biblical worldview, ensuring all content is rooted in Scripture and reflects the gospel rather than partisan or reactionary perspectives.
    3. Address current cultural moments, ethical issues, and everyday life questions in a thoughtful, Christ-centered, and redemptive way that helps listeners think Christianly about the world.
    4. Draft clear and compelling episode outlines and/or full scripts for the podcast host and co-hosts.
    5. Write introductions, transitions, discussion questions, and closing reflections that connect each episode to The Daily Grace Co. mission.
    6. Prepare interview packets that include guest bios, topic summaries, and potential discussion questions.
    7. Fact-check all Scripture references, statistics, and quotes for accuracy and theological integrity.
  2. Writing for Multi-Platform Distribution
    1. Write concise, engaging show notes, titles, and descriptions for each episode, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with the company’s tone.
    2. Draft short-form written content to accompany each episode (email blurbs, web copy, and social media captions).
    3. Collaborate with the Marketing Team to ensure episode content supports broader campaign goals and connects with relevant resources or studies.
  3. Topic Planning & Guest Support
    1. Assist in developing and maintaining a rolling 3–4-month content calendar aligned with the podcast’s content pillars:
    2. Research and propose future topics that align with the mission and resonate with the podcast’s audience.
    3. Vet and summarize potential guest information for theological alignment and topic expertise.
  4. Administrative & Project Coordination
    1. Manage deadlines, deliverables, and episode timelines using project management software to ensure consistent weekly releases.
    2. Support coordination between the podcast, marketing, and editorial teams to align release schedules and featured resources.
    3. Maintain organized documentation of episode outlines, research materials, and publishing status.
    4. Communicate proactively with the podcast host, editors, and team to ensure clarity and efficiency.
  5. Data & Performance Insights
    1. Collaborate with the Marketing Team to monitor episode performance metrics (downloads, completion rates, audience engagement).
    2. Identify top-performing topics and formats; use insights to refine future episode planning and content focus.
    3. Participate in creative review meetings to contribute ideas for optimizing reach and listener engagement.
  6. Other Duties as Assigned


Compensation for this role will paid based upon skill and experience within the range of. We estimate this job will take an average of 7.5 hours of per week. You will be paid a flat weekly rate as a contractor within the range of $150-225. Contractors are ineligible for company benefits.
