Job Description
Major duties and responsibilities include:
- Process and submit customs entries accurately and in a timely manner.
- Review documentation for completeness and compliance with US Customs regulations.
- Communicate with clients, carriers, and brokers to resolve issues and facilitate timely shipment clearance.
- Maintain up-to-date records in internal systems and client databases.
- Help identify process improvements to manage volume efficiently.
- Provide administrative support and assist with additional operational tasks as needed.
- Coordinate and file required documentation for Partner Government Agencies (PGAs), including the FDA, to ensure regulatory compliance and timely clearance.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in customs brokerage, logistics, or ecommerce operations (preferred).
- Familiarity with US Customs procedures and entry types (e.g., Section 321, informal, formal entries).
- Strong attention to detail and high data accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage competing deadlines in a remote setting.
- Tech-savvy, comfortable using brokerage or logistics platforms and Excel/Google Sheets.
Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with clients, customs authorities, and other stakeholders.
- Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of Spanish is considered an asset.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to work well under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and reliability.
- Proficiency with computers and software; detail-oriented, resourceful, and eager to learn.
