About First Round

First Round is a venture capital firm that works with founders exclusively at the earliest stages of company building, often when all they have is an “imagine if.” We fill in where we can until the team is filled out, tackling crucial early hiring and equipping those who are great at building product with the skills to sell it, too. By getting the foundational firsts right, we increase the odds of finding extreme product-market fit. Our founders’ “imagine ifs” have turned into companies like Notion, Roblox, Uber, and Square.

We're searching for an operationally sharp Executive Assistant to support First Round Partners, helping amplify their impact and freeing up their time for the highest leverage work.

Your core role as an Executive Assistant will include:

• Own complex calendar management and scheduling across time zones, both internal and external

• Prepare partner’s meeting materials, itineraries, and daily agenda briefing

• Book travel, including itineraries and all related logistics

• Prepare and submit expense reports accurately and on-time

• Organize in-person meetings and events, including making restaurant reservations and securing other venues as needed

• Review and support with inbound communications on LinkedIn and email

• Curate, purchase, and send thoughtful gifts for founders and other relationships

• You work when the work needs to get done. This role is not a 9-to-5 job—it demands flexibility, responsiveness, and a willingness to put in time when needed, including nights and weekends.

This role is based in San Francisco with Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday required in office.
