Content Writer – Gaming & Entertainment

We are seeking an experienced Content Writer to support editorial content development across games, apps, and entertainment experiences for a leading global technology company. This role is ideal for someone with a strong editorial writing background who understands gaming culture and can turn trends, curation inputs, and performance signals into compelling stories for a consumer digital storefront.

The Content Writer will work closely with curation, product, and design teams to develop featured stories, curated collections, roundups, headlines, and promotional copy on a recurring publishing cadence.

Responsibilities • Write and refine editorial content across games, apps, and entertainment, including storefront features, curated roundups, reviews, headlines, and short-form promotional copy • Develop strong editorial angles based on cultural moments, gaming trends, seasonal themes, emerging play patterns, and catalog opportunities • Write quickly and effectively across multiple formats, from short title cards and blurbs to approximately 400-word features • Translate curation inputs and performance signals into clear, engaging editorial narratives • Maintain a consistent editorial voice and tone across content • Partner closely with curation, product, and design teams throughout the publishing process • Manage content within Figma, spreadsheets, and/or CMS platforms • Deliver high-quality work against a recurring editorial calendar and publishing deadlines

Qualifications • Strong professional writing and editorial background • Portfolio of published editorial work covering games, apps, entertainment, or related consumer content • Experience with editorial strategy, story development, and content design • Strong knowledge of gaming and entertainment culture, including genres, communities, trends, and emerging titles • Ability to identify and articulate why a game, app, trend, or cultural moment is relevant to an audience • Experience working within recurring editorial or publishing calendars • Ability to write compelling copy across both short- and long-form formats • Comfortable working in Figma and maintaining content within spreadsheets and/or CMS platforms • Experience collaborating with cross-functional product, design, and editorial teams

Preferred • Experience within gaming, VR/AR, apps, or entertainment media • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in English Literature, Journalism, Communications, or a related field

Compensation & Benefits • Hours: 40 hours per week • Location: U.S. Remote • Work Authorization: Must be eligible to work in the U.S. (no H-1B, no C2C) • Duration: 12 months to start with potential for extension • Portfolio: Required for consideration • Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401(k) options available, plus applicable PTO and sick leave per state/local law • Pay Range: $75–$85 per hour (W2)

Compensation for this position will be determined based on several factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role; market labor costs; the candidate’s skills, education, training, credentials, and experience; and other employment conditions. Full-time consultants are eligible for benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) contributions, along with any PTO, sick leave, or other benefits required by applicable state or local laws where you reside or work.
