Summary:
The Content Marketing Developer and Copywriter will aid with both recurring administrative and content development & copywriting tasks for Bryan University’s Marketing Department and its subsidiaries (Bryan College and Caregiver Training Institute). We are looking for an individual who is a self-starter, motivated, organized, and thrives working on a team. You will be working heavily in software such as Microsoft Excel, Canva, and social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn to complete daily tasks.

Responsibilities of the Content Marketing Developer and Copywriter:
Assists with the development of content (graphics and captions) for the organic marketing content calendar. This includes assets for Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn pages and the Newsroom/blogs. Content includes but isn’t limited to holidays to cover, program posts, announcements, awards, graduation content, and more.
Performs daily maintenance of social media comments and schedules all social media posts for Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
Writes content for the newsrooms/blogs on a regular basis, including but not limited to SEO articles, announcements, awards, departmental requests, and all other content that falls into the Marketing Content Calendar.
Researches new SEO article topics and keywords, proposes topics, and writes monthly pieces for all newsrooms/blogs.
Executes manual mass communications for admissions, reentry, and alumni.
Updates monthly SEO website and social media statistics.
Executes weekly website updates for schedules, faculty, and staff.
Assists with gathering statistics, competitive analysis, research, footnote and reference updates, and collecting assets (photos, links, statistics, etc.) and more for projects, redesigns, and other various items.
Solicits Google & Facebook reviews weekly & responds to comments within Google Business Profile.
Produces various reports weekly and assists with monthly marketing procedures as needed.
Requirements of the Content Marketing Developer and Copywriter:
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, English, Journalism, Communications or similar field.
1+ year experienced content developer and copywriter with direct response writing, long- and short-form article/blog writing and social media creation background.
Content development and copywriting examples are encouraged to display proficiency.
Microsoft Excel experience required.
Experience with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) required.
Demonstrated experience with Canva or a similar design software required.
Experience with WordPress or another CMS preferred.
Experience with Meta Business Suite preferred.
Strong organization, communication, attention to detail traits required.
Ability to make and adapt to change quickly.
Experience working with various other personalities in a team environment.
Desire to contribute to the University’s mission and influence others through a positive attitude.
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a collaborative environment.
Demonstrated proficiency in navigating through a PC.
Ability to work in a virtual environment using multiple software programs simultaneously including MS Office programs, contact management database systems, Gmail, Zoom, etc.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
Ability to work in a virtual environment using multiple software programs simultaneously including MS Office programs, contact management database systems, Gmail, Zoom, etc.
The ability to efficiently operate a computer and its peripheral equipment (keyboard, mouse, etc.).
Ability to sit or stand for four to six hours.
Ability to work at least 15-20 hours a week.
