Basketball Writer

LWOS is looking to add basketball writers. The main areas we're looking for include:

• Basketball Culture -- card and autograph collecting, shoes and fashion, endorsements, etc
• NBA analysis
• WNBA news and analysis
• College news and analysis

LWOS offers a massive network of writers, editors, and managers covering all major pro sports. We have important syndication partnerships offering our writers access to MSN and Yahoo Sports markets, as well as NewsBreak and SmartNews.

Responsibilities

We ask for a minimum of 8 articles per month.

All writers begin on Rev Share, unless the candidate brings very high authority in the niche and a large social media network. Rev share is paid based on both native advertising as well as a share of syndication revenue.

Qualifications

• We prefer writers to have WordPress experience
• We prefer writers to be geographically located in the US, Canada, UK, or EU for our editorial flow
• Must have basketball writing sample
• Understanding of basic SEO (titles/headings, internal/external linking, keywords)
• active social media -- we will not hire someone who is inactive on social media
