We’re looking for Writers, Talent & Culture (Contract, Remote) who blend strategic thinking with creative storytelling. Strategic Writers who understand how culture drives performance — and how a well-told story can inspire alignment, pride, and purpose.

In this Contract role, you’ll work with assigned clients to help define their culture, clarify their purpose, and create compelling narratives that connect strategy to story. You’ll work across various form factors — from written strategies and communications to video scripts that authentically capture an organization’s voice and values.


What You’ll Do

Working collaboratively with our Strategy and Creative teams, you will

  • Partner with clients to uncover the essence of their culture, values, and employee experience.
  • Design and facilitate workshops, interviews, and discovery sessions to surface insights and opportunities.
  • Develop practical Talent & Culture strategies and frameworks rooted in both business objectives and human experience.
  • Create compelling narratives that articulate who a company is, why it exists, and how its culture drives success.
  • Develop high-impact content — write reports, create internal campaigns, ghost write leadership communications, develop presentations for everything from small executive and/or leadership groups to delivery across our client organizations, etc. A wide range of communications and narratives that connect people with purpose.
  • Craft authentic video scripts that bring culture and purpose to life through powerful, human storytelling.
  • Collaborate with Nexus creative and production teams to align strategy, message, and medium.
  • Contribute to thought leadership through case studies, and insights on emerging Talent & Culture trends.

What You Bring

We’re looking for talent and culture focused writers who bring both strategic depth and creative skill — writers who can translate insight into narratives that move people and strengthen culture.

Ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate:

  • Exceptional writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to distill complex ideas into clear, emotional, and purposeful narratives that reflect an organization’s identity.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in HR consulting, organizational culture, internal communications, or brand/culture strategy.
  • Proven capability to craft high-impact content, including culture narratives, organizational manifestos, employee value propositions, and scripts for talent- and culture-focused videos and podcasts.
  • A track record of developing internal culture communications and programs, such as launch presentations, onboarding experiences, toolkits, learning materials, and employee-facing email campaigns.
  • Demonstrated experience activating purpose, values, leadership behaviours, employee experience, EVP, and culture transformation initiatives across the talent lifecycle.
  • Strong facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to guide workshops, lead discussions, and synthesize insights from diverse groups.
  • A strategic mindset paired with strong creative instincts, bringing curiosity, empathy, and an ability to shape work that connects People with Purpose.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced, collaborative, client-facing environment, balancing multiple priorities with professionalism and adaptability.
  • Cross-industry exposure, particularly in financial services, retail, and manufacturing, with the ability to translate insights across sectors.
