The mission of the Lifecycle Copywriter is to increase customer lifetime value by creating copy that connects, converts, and retains customers across every lifecycle stage.

This role turns behavioral triggers, customer insights, and brand strategy into high-impact messaging that builds trust, enhances engagement, and reduces churn.

Success means developing scalable copy systems, producing winning messages fast, and transforming owned lifecycle channels into revenue-driving engines.

What You’ll Do

  • Own lifecycle copy strategy by developing briefs and messaging approaches driven by customer insights, behavioral data, and performance metrics.
  • Write high-converting copy across Email, SMS, in-app, and direct mail for onboarding, education, upsells, winback, reactivation, and more.
  • Create segmentation and personalization frameworks using zero-, first-, and behavioral-party data to deliver timely, relevant, and personalized messaging.
  • Build and optimize modular copy systems that make personalization scalable across automated lifecycle flows.
  • Run A/B tests and analyze performance to identify winning patterns and continuously optimize campaign results.
  • Own churn prevention and winback messaging, including cancellation flows, reactivation campaigns, and retention-focused communication strategies.
  • Partner with CRO, CX, and UX/UI teams to improve landing pages, cancellation experiences, and lifecycle conversion journeys.
  • Build internal systems and leverage AI tools to increase message velocity, consistency, and long-term retention impact.

What You Bring

  • 3+ years writing sales-focused email/SMS copy for DTC and eCommerce brands.
  • Strong understanding of subscription metrics (retention rate, churn, LTV) and how to influence them through messaging.
  • Ability to create full strategic briefs—covering designUX flowcontent hierarchy, and messaging structure.
  • Native English speaker or culturally fluent in U.S. communication style.
  • Comfort working in a remote, fast-moving, performance-driven environment.

The expected base salary range for this position is $70,000- $90,000 high (USD).
