Chomps is continuing to grow and looking to add a Junior Copywriter to our in-house Creative Team. We're looking for an emerging writer who is ready to learn, grow, and help bring the voice of Chomps to life. The Junior Copywriter, reporting into the Senior Copywriter, will join our small but mighty Creative Team and support the execution of our brand's voice across all channels and touchpoints. Unlike most junior copywriter jobs, you’ll be working on brand-defining work, not just banner ads. The Chomps brand is growing rapidly and evolving, and we are in the process of finalizing a new brand book. This position will play a vital role as we finalize the brand voice, tone, and communication guidelines 

The ideal candidate is eager to learn and excited by the opportunity to gain experience writing across social, digital, print, OOH, retail, email, video content, packaging and more. You'll get hands-on experience switching between social post copy, video scripts, email campaigns, paid ads, and whatever-we-can-dream-up. This will be a crash course in learning to write across multiple channels under the supervision of our Creative Team. You will learn an incredible amount at a very fast rate.  

This is a rare opportunity to be part of defining a brand's voice from the ground up while learning quickly. Must have a working funny-bone and doesn’t take themselves too seriously. That’ll become the character you play as a writer on Chomps. If you’re the type of writer who is always up for a challenge and can quickly change gears, then this is the job for you!

Responsibilities

  • Support Creative Director, Senior Copywriter, Sr. Art Director, and Art Director on daily copywriting needs.
  • Write copy across multiple formats including social posts, email/SMS, paid ads, web copy, retail materials, sales collateral, and video scripts.
  • Participate in collaborative brainstorming sessions and contribute fresh ideas.
  • Help ideate for activations, events, partnerships, and other brand extensions.
  • Learn and apply brand voice and tone guidelines consistently across all work.
  • Assist with basic copy feedback for photography, video, and social content.
  • Ability to give feedback to various vendors that ladders back to brand guidelines.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Be open to feedback and eager to iterate and improve.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, advertising, English, communications, or related field.
  • 1-2 years of copywriting experience (internships, freelance, agency, or in-house).
  • Portfolio demonstrating writing versatility across different formats and tones.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and how copy performs across channels.  
  • Experience writing for video content (scripts, captions) is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of brand voice development and best practices. 
  • Strong communication skills and ability to present ideas clearly.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.  
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Passion for creative problem-solving and trying new things.
  • Understands how to use lines to bring a strategy to life.

Salary Range Opportunity:

  • The salary range for this role is $70,000 - $75,000 + 10% annual bonus
