Freelance Children’s Book Writer (Fiction)

We are looking to hire a Freelance Children's Book Writer (Fiction). In this role, you will adapt public-domain stories into books for ages 5-12. These books will be published on our free reading app Booktime.

Responsibilities

• Adapt popular folk and fairy tales and other public domain material into books suitable for children between 5 and 12
• Provide a detailed description of illustrations with details about characters, settings, etc 

Qualifications & Work Experience

• Excellent command of both written and spoken English
• Interest in children’s literature and classics 
• Ability to write at appropriate reading levels for different age groups
