Reports to: Creative Director
Location: Hybrid - Hambi Media Offices - Central London or Manchester
Compensation: £35,000 - £45,000+ Bonus/ Benefit Scheme + 27 Days Paid Holiday

The Role:

We’re looking for a sharp, results-driven Direct Response Copywriter who can craft both punchy short-form video scripts and compelling long-form presell advertorials.

You’re obsessed with grabbing attention fast, telling gripping stories in seconds, and — most importantly — driving measurable results. You thrive on testing and iteration, blending creativity with performance data to deliver copy that converts.

With a deep understanding of consumer psychology, you know how to speak to your audience’s core desires, pain points, and motivations. You’ll play a key role in conceptualising creative campaigns, briefing UGC creators, and shaping Hambi’s next generation of high-performing D2C ads.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in direct response copywriting — ideally within a D2C, e-commerce, or performance marketing setting.
  • Proven track record crafting high-converting ad copy and scripts for Meta or TikTok campaigns.
  • Deep understanding of consumer psychology, buyer motivation, and performance creative frameworks.
  • Experience analysing ad performance data and iterating copy based on insights.
  • Excellent written communication and storytelling skills, with a strong grasp of tone, rhythm, and clarity.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines.
  • Confident in presenting creative strategies and rationales to clients and internal teams.
  • Bonus: experience mentoring junior copywriters or leading creative brainstorms.



Responsibilities:

  • Research and deeply understand each brand using our in-house research dashboards and processes.
  • Develop and execute direct response copy strategies for D2C brands across Meta and TikTok.
  • Write high-performing ad copy, short-form video scripts, and UGC briefs using proven Hambi frameworks.
  • Craft compelling long-form presell pages and advertorials designed to drive conversions.
  • Collaborate with Creative Strategists, Media Buyers, and Designers to ensure copy aligns with creative andperformance goals.
  • Analyse creative data and performance metrics to continually refine messaging and angles.
  • Ideate and conceptualise new campaign angles, testing structures, and messaging variations.
  • Report on creative performance, identifying opportunities for optimisation and scale.
  • Stay ahead of social and cultural trends, platform updates, and consumer psychology insights.
  • Confidently present ideas and concepts to internal teams and clients.
