Modern Campus is looking for a skilled and strategic Content Writer to craft compelling stories and content that resonate with higher education leaders. In this role, youâll create and optimize high-impact assetsâfrom blogs and articles to eBooks, guides, and landing pagesâthat drive engagement, educate our audience, and support campaign goals across the learner-to-earner lifecycle.
This role is essential in amplifying Modern Campusâs voice, showcasing customer success, and communicating the value of our solutions: CMS, Message, Involve, Connected Curriculum, and Lifelong Learning.
Content Creation
- Write engaging, clear, and persuasive content tailored to higher education decision-makers including Marketing, Enrollment, Student Affairs, and Continuing Ed leaders.
- Support demand generation, product marketing, and customer marketing initiatives with content assets such as:
- Product guides and sell sheets
Content Optimization & Strategy
- Align content with SEO best practices to increase organic traffic and search rankings.
- Collaborate with campaign managers to ensure messaging consistency across channels and lifecycle stages.
- Repurpose existing content into new formats (e.g., turning a whitepaper into a blog series or webinar deck).
Brand Voice & Messaging
- Maintain a consistent tone and voice that aligns with Modern Campusâs brandâprofessional, higher ed fluent, and customer-obsessed.
- Integrate storytelling and data to illustrate product value, student impact, and institutional outcomes.
What you offerâŠ
- 3+ years of experience in content writing, preferably in B2B SaaS or higher education sectors.
- Strong portfolio showcasing long-form and short-form content.
- Ability to translate complex topics into engaging and accessible narratives.
- SEO and keyword research experience.
- Familiarity with CMS platforms, marketing automation tools, and basic analytics.
- Understanding of the higher education market, including the roles and needs of academic and administrative staff.
- Experience writing for personas such as Enrollment Leaders, Provosts, Student Affairs professionals, or CE/Workforce Directors.

- The base salary range* for this full-time position is between $50,000-$60,000
